6th CMAI National Telecom Awards 2012CMAI National Telecom Awards for the last Six years are most sought after prestigious industry awards to identify, acknowledge, and recognize outstanding contributions to the field of Communications, ICT and are known to provide greater encouragement and impetus to the players for their contribution in building a robust National Telecom Network and providing an effective means of communication.
6th National Telecom Awards will be held on 8th May, 2012 at Siri Fort, New Delhi. National Telecom Awards 2012 will attract all the senior decision makers in the industry. Industry would be represented by Telecom Operators, Enterprise Solution Providers, Equipment Manufacturers, Exporters, Technology Providers, and Systems Integrators from the ICT arena. This grand event is expected to be attended by over 2500 delegates and is being branded as the mother of all Telecom Events in India organized till now. The event has support of Apex Telecom, IT Hardware, Internet and Operators Association in India and international associations. The event had full support of ITU, DIT and MSME, DOT.

The 5th National Telecom Awards will be held on 17th May, 2011 at Siri Fort, New Delhi with celebration of World Telecommunications & Information Society Day, which marks the anniversary of the signature of the first international Telegraph Convention in 1865 and the creation of the International Telecommunication Union

National Telecom Awards Brief History :The first National Telecom Awards were presented in the year 2007 by Hon’ble Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, the then Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications and IT followed by Thiru A Raja, Hon’ble Union Minister of Communications and IT in 2008. The 2009 Awards were presented by Hon’ble Shri Gurudas Kamat, Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications and IT. The awards were presented to many top companies including PGCIL, TCIL, BSNL, MTNL, TATA, INTEL, ERICSSON, NOKIA, ALCATEL-LUCENT, QUIPPO, INDUS, LEMON, AIRTEL, BHARTI, amongst other. The National Telecom Award recognizes pioneering development work in the Telecom Sector from the last five years. CMAI instituted this award to acknowledge outstanding technological innovations that have brought prestige to India. It is awarded to those Indian innovators and their companies who develop technology that meet the highest global standards. Technologies that are considered for the award are those that lead to commercially successful products, processes and services that give India a sustainable competitive advantage
Selection procedure goes through the rigorous evaluation of several Indian technology companies through a careful analysis of a variety of parameters including technology innovation, commercial success, execution of strategy and dedication to research and development.
The award jury committee consists of twenty one members team led by Former Secretary and Chairman Telecom Commission and include former and serving officials from Ministry of Law and Justice, Commerce, Communications & IT. |
